Credentials
During my career and education to become an orthodontist I received a variety of awards and certificates:
- Bachelor of Arts: University of California in San Diego
- General Practice Residency with the University of Southern California.
- I received my Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology and certificate in orthodontics from the University of Southern California.
- I received my doctorate in Dental Surgery through the University of Pacific.
My commitment to learning:
I am always interested in seeking more education and I am always required to update my skill set in this profession. In order to keep up with medical technology, I will regularly travel out of town to conferences to learn about new technology and orthodontic methods. I also regularly attend Webinars to learn new skills as well. I regularly attend meetings with organizations such as the American Association of Orthodontics, Schulman Study Group and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. These meetings ensure that I can meet with industry leading professionals to learn the latest treatment options in orthodontics.
Involvement with the Schulman Study Group
The Sculman Study Group is a world renowned association that includes some of the worlds most respected orthodontist offices. The organization has formed over 30 years under the watchful eye of Martin (Bud) Schulman who is a strong advocate for ongoing orthodontist education to improve orthodontic practices the world over. Orthodontists who are members of this study group strive to improve orthodontic methods to bring them to new heights and levels of treatment considered impossible 30 years ago. The study group has very exclusive membership options. Membership is only available through invitation and in order to continue as a member group members must commit to ongoing learning, delivering exceptional care and offering a high standard of existing skill of experience in their practice.
Our Office Environment
Making a difference in patient lives is what drives us to succeed. We are interested in the Science of orthodontics but it is the artistry of creating the perfect smile and changing someone’s life that keeps us in this business. It is a truly amazing feeling to see a patient smile for the first time after braces are removed.
I work to establish relationships with each of my patients and I like to think of each orthodontic appointment as a step along your journey to get a perfect smile. It is exciting each time a patient comes into the office as it could mean they are one step closer to getting the smile they have always wanted. I am interested in hearing how we can work to fulfil your goal to get your ideal smile.
Each of our staff members comes to work energized and ready to establish great relationships with each of our patients. We are all committed to helping you to change your life with a new smile and we try to encourage a fun and relaxed environment when you are in our offices.
I strongly believe in enjoying your work and my staff share this vision as well. You can expect to see people smiling and sharing stories with each and every visit to our office. We love talking with our patients and we also love to hear your success stories on how we have made a difference in your life with orthodontic treatments!
